What to expect from our text messages

We text you about work you contacted us about. That means:

• Confirming a visit you have booked with us.
• Letting you know a technician is on the way.
• Replying to a question you texted us.
• Sending a quote, an invoice, or a receipt.
• Following up about work we have done.

Message frequency varies. Messages are tied to a job you contacted us about, so most people get a handful around a single visit and nothing in between.

We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share it so that another company can market to you. Message and data rates may apply. Full messaging terms are on our Terms of Service page.

Information we collect

When you contact us or book work

• Your name.
• Your phone number, and your email address if you give us one.
• The service address where the work is being done.
• What you told us about the problem, including the content of your texts and notes from calls.
• Your service history with us: what we did, when, and what it cost.

On this website

This site has no contact forms, no accounts, and no online payment. There is nothing on it for you to fill in, so it collects no name, email address, or payment details. Every phone number is a link that opens your own dialer or messaging app, and tapping one sends us nothing by itself. Your phone places the call or opens a draft, and nothing reaches us until you choose to send it.

How we use your information

• To schedule your visit and tell you when we are on the way.
• To do the work you asked for and to answer questions about it.
• To quote, invoice, and take payment for that work.
• To follow up about a job, including anything we recommended for later.
• To keep records we are required to keep, such as for tax and accounting.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not use it for unrelated marketing.

How we store and protect your information

Your information is held in Jobber, the field-service software we use to run the business, and is protected by that platform's security controls, including encryption in transit and access limited to accounts we create. Inside American Drain Hero, access is restricted to the people who need it to schedule, perform, or bill for your job. We keep records for as long as we need them to service the account and to meet our tax and accounting obligations, then dispose of them.

We use industry-standard safeguards, but no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

When we share information

We share your information only with companies that help us run the business, and only with what they need to do their part:

• Jobber, which powers our phone line, text messaging, scheduling, quotes, and invoices. When you call or text us, Jobber processes and stores your phone number, your messages, and call records so we can respond and schedule your service.
• Our payment processor, which handles card payments. Card details go to the processor, not to us, and we do not store full card numbers.
• Netlify, which hosts this website and processes standard web server request data (IP address, browser type, page requested) to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
• Anyone we are legally required to share with, such as in response to a valid legal request.

If we ever sell the business or its assets, customer records may transfer to the buyer, who would be bound by this policy. We do not share your information with anyone else.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to show you what we have about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete your information. Some records we have to keep, such as invoices needed for tax purposes, and we will tell you if that applies.

Opting out and getting help

Opting out of texts does not cancel a scheduled visit. If you have stopped texts and we need to reach you about a job, we will call instead.

Cookies and analytics

We use Netlify Analytics, which counts page views from our web server's own logs. It sets no cookies, runs no scripts in your browser, and does not follow you to other websites. We see aggregate counts, such as how many people visited a page, not individual visitors.

This site sets no cookies. Fonts and all other assets are served from our own domain, and the site embeds no third-party maps, social widgets, chat widgets, or advertising trackers.

Children

This site and our service are meant for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
